This is a popular street side recipe mainly in Hyderabad and Rajasthan.Made usually in winter’s because of the availability of Fuji capsicum that is locally known as badi Mirch.

Ingredients:- ( Serve 7 )

* 1 tbsp Oil
* 3 boiled Potatoes
* Salt to taste
* 1/2 tsp Turmeric / Haldi
* 1/4 tsp Red Chilli Powder
* 1/2 tsp Dry Mango Powder / Aamchoor
* 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder / Zeera
* 1 tsp Lemon juice / Nimbu Rus
* 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
* 1 tbsp Coriander leaves / Dhania

For Batter

* 1 cup Gram Flour / Besan
* 2 tbsp Corn starch
* 1/4 tsp Baking powder
* Salt to taste
* 1/4 tsp Nigella / Kalonji
* 1/4 tsp Red Chilli Powder
* 1/2 Cup Water

Method:-

1. To make the filling take a non stick vessel and in that add Oil,Potatoes,Salt,Turmeric,Red chilli,Dry Mango Powder,Cumin Powder,Lemon juice,Garam masala and Coriander.
2. Sauté everything for bout 5 min on medium heat and our filling is ready.
3. Now in a bowl take Gram Flour and in it add Corn starch,Baking powder,Salt,Nigella,Red chilli altogether .
4. In this add Water to make a batter.
5. Slit the Chilli ‘s halfway in between and stuff them with the made filling.
6. Press and close them as much as possible.
7. Then coat them with the made batter and drop them in the hot Oil.
8. Fry on a medium heat till golden brown.
9. Strain out over a paper towel.
10. Serve hot with any Chutney or Sauce.


Tips:-

– To make the chilli’s less spicy discard the seeds.
