Lachha paratha is a specially made paratha that has or can have various layers which makes it unique.This paratha can be called Indian version of puff pastry.You can create these layers by using 5 different methods depending upon which method you feel is most easy or which method can give your paratha maximums layers.

Ingredients :- ( Serve 4 )

  • 2 cup Wheat flour / Atta
  • 2 cup Refined flour / Maida
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Carom seeds / Ajwain
  • 4 tbsp Ghee
  • 2 cup Water


  1. Make a soft paratha dough adding all the above ingredients,punching and kneading for 5-7 min.
  2. Keep dough to rest for 30 min covered with damp cloth.
  3. Make lachha paratha using 5 different methods
  4. And then simply roast it over a griddle / Tawa on both sides applying a teaspoon of butter or oil
