Honey cake made with a difference in easy simple way.Its sweet soft and moist.


  • 2 cup Refined flour / Maida
  • 4 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 cup Honey / Shahad
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice / Nimbhu Rass
  • 1/4 cup Milk / Doodh
  • 1 cup Curd or Yogurt / Dahi
  • 1/2 cup powdered Sugar / Chini
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt / Namak
  • 1/4 tsp Cloves powder / Loung
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg powder / Jaiphal
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon powder / Dalchini


  • 1/2 cup Mixed fruit jam
  • 2 tbsp Honey / Shahad
  • Little Desiccated Coconut / Sukha Nariyal

Method :-

  1. In a bowl mix and whisk all the wet ingredients.
  2. Over a sieve drop all the dry ingredients and sift it in the bowl of wet ing.
  3. Using cut and fold method mix to make cake batter.
  4. Drop the batter in a greased and flour lined or butter paper lined cake mould.
  5. Bake at 180°C for 40-45 min or till toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake come down to room temperature,de mould it and make holes as many as possible with help of skewer deep upto bottom
  7. Make a mix of Jam and Honey.Apply it over the cake.Sprinkle desiccated Coconut.
  8. Cut and serve.

Tips :-

  • Over gas stove oven bake at medium heat for 30-35 minutes.
  • Both Honey and Jam should be at room temperature.
