Make completely pure homemade pure two layered burfi adding well balanced sugar

Ingredients :- ( Serves 16 )

  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup grinder Coconut / Nariyal
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Milk powder
  • 1/2 tsp Green cardamom / Hari elachi
  • 1 cup or 200 gm Khoya / Mawa
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened Coco powder
  • 1/4 cup Sugar powder

Method:-

  1. Melt Sugar in Milk over low and then add to it Coconut along with Milk powder and  Cardamom powder.
  2. Keep on cooking and stirring over low to medium till the mix turns to a thick halwa type consistency.
  3. Drop and level in a greased mould.
  4. Make Mawa into small pieces and let it melt over low adding Coco and sugar powder.
  5. As soon as Mawa starts melting,remove from heat and continue stirring till Mawa turns liquid.
  6. Drop over the Nariyal burfi layer.
  7. Cool and refrigerate for couple of hours.
  8. Cut and serve cool.

Tips :-

  • Don’t over cook Mawa.
