Chocolate Crackling Brittle – Lai Murmura Ki Burfi

Murmura ladoo made with a different flavour of chocolate added to it along with fruits & nuts is a lite homemade snack or can be called as a homemade kitkat bar.

Ingredients ūüôĀ Serves 12 )

  • 5 cups Puffed rice / Murmura
  • 1 tbsp Butter / Ghee
  • 2 tbsp Mixed dry fruits
  • 200 gm Jaggery / Gud
  • 5 tbsp unsweetened Cocao powder


  1. Dry roast puffed rice over low till crispy and keep aside.
  2. Sauté the chopped dry fruits in butter over low for couple of minutes and then add to it jaggery in pieces.
  3. Melt jaggery over low stirring in between.
  4. Meanwhile grease your mould.
  5. Within 6-8 min jaggery melts,now put off the stove and add to it roasted puffed rice along with cocoa powder.
  6. Quickly mix everything when still warm then drop it in the greased mould.
  7. Level it up.
  8. Cut the puffed rice slab in pieces after it comes down to room temperature.
  9. Keep it stored airtight.

Tips :-

  • Break jaggery in pieces for quick melting.
  • Instead of Brittle you can also make laddu out of it when still warm¬† applying water over your palm.
