Those who love Mangoes love them in any form and when it’s in season you can’t stop having them.Here let’s make deliciously flavoured sweet Mango / Aam barfi using Mango.
Ingredients:-
- 1 cup Mango purée
- 3 tbsp Sugar / Chini
- 1 cup Milk powder
- 1/4 cup Milk / Doodh
- Few threads Saffron / Kesar
- 1/4 tsp green Cardamom powder / Hari elaechi
- 1-2 tsp Clarified butter / Desi ghee
- Some Dry Fruit Mix
Method:-
- Grind mango pulp into a smooth purée.
- Add the purée to a pan along with Sugar and cook till Sugar melts and purée starts boiling.
- Add milk powder,Saffron soaked in milk and Cardamom powder.Cook stirring till you get Halwa type consistency.
- When you have arrived almost to the Halwa consistency add Ghee and continue cooking till the mix starts leaving the pan not sticking to the Pan or spatula.
- When still warm drop into a mould and level.
- Sprinkle some chopped Dry fruits and using a spoon or spatula litely tap over.
- Let it set in fridge 5-6 hours before you can cut and enjoy it.
