Make your own delicious replica of chocolate biscuits filled with cream frosting which are more healthy than the store bought one.
Ingredients:-Â ( Serves 28 )
DOUGH
- 1 Cup Wheat flour / Atta
- ½ cup powdered Sugar / chini
- ½ cup or 63 GM Unsalted Butter / Makhan
- ½ tsp Vanilla
- ½ cup room temperature Milk / Doodh
- A pinch Salty / Namak
- ¾ tsp Baking soda / Metha soda
- ¾ tsp Baking powder
- ¾ Cup cup unsweetened Coco powder
FROSTING
- 1 Cup powdered Sugar / Chini
- ¼ cup Butter / Makhan
- ½ Vanilla essence
- 2-3 tsp room temperature Milk / Doodh
REFRIGERATE DOUGH 1 HOUR
BAKE 180°C 10-15 min
GAS STOVE Low-Medium 10-12 minutes
Method :-
- Beat Sugar and Butter together until fluffy and creamy.
- Add Vanilla.
- Sift in Wheat flour,Baking powder,Baking soda,Salt and Coco powder
- Now adding Milk little at a time combine the dough into a tiff dough ball.Don’t knead.
- Wrap the dough with plastic wrap or cling film and refrigerate for an hour.
- Meanwhile to make frosting combine the ingredients together into a soft dough.
- Take out the dough spread between two pieces of butter paper into a 2 com thick sheet.
- Cut round discs using a 2inch cutter.Print a design on the biscuit using a store bought biscuit or using your own creative mind.
- Bake and let them cool down.
- Fill in made frosting over one biscuit leaving the edges,cover with another,give a little press and its ready.
Tips :-
- Add milk in frosting if it feels too dry.
- Butter paper makes easy recipe to roll out the dough.
- Instead of Wheat flour using same measurements you can make biscuits using Reined flour / Maida.
- To get darker biscuits use Dutch processed Coco powder or a drop of black food colour.
- Cooling will make the dough firm but over cooling will make it hard.
- Salt helps to enhance sweetness.
